Le Ballet School
Training Programs

 

Le Ballet School is a member of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD). ISTD Imperial Classical Ballet is designed to provide a structured and progressive approach to ballet training. As students progress through the levels, they are introduced to new concepts and techniques that build on their previous training Students are assessed and certified through this UK institution after study of a rigorous syllabus starting at Grade 1.

 

We are ballet educators and as a school we strongly encourage students to take ballet examinations. Students who follow the ISTD syllabi receive a high-quality education and achieve technical proficiency. This sense of achievement builds confident individuals. 

 

We welcome ambitious students who will stay the course through to the upper levels and grow with the school.

Fundamentals Program
Beginners to Primary 
(Age: 4-7 yrs)

Classes that develop children's physical skills while encouraging creativity, expression and musicality.

Requirements:       1 class/wk. 80% attendance

Duration:                1 year at each level​

Intermediate Program
Grades 4-6
 (Age: 13 yrs+) by assessment only

Students follow a progressive structured syllabus designed for learning and achievement in dance. 

 

Prerequisite:                   Completion of Grade 3 exam

Requirements:               2 classes/wk, 80% attendance

Progression:                  Completion of prior level exams

​​

Duration:                       1 year at each level

ISTD Imperial Classical Ballet Examinations

​Through the ISTD we offer internationally recognized examinations and assessments designed to encourage, motivate and reward students of all ages and abilities.

Junior Program
Grades 1-3
 (Age: 8 yrs+ ) by assessment only

Students follow a progressive structured syllabus designed for learning and achievement in dance. 

 

Requirements:     2 classes/wk & 80% attendance

 

Duration:              1 year at each level

Examinations are not compulsory to advance through this program but are strongly recommended in order to achieve the required level of technical proficiency and proceed to Grade 4.

Vocational Program
(Age: Invitation Only)

Students showing exceptional technique, discipline and maturity are invited to join this program.

Prerequisite:                 Completion of Grade 6 exam

​

 

Duration:                       1-2 year(s) at each level
